Our staff Our vessels	Welcome to our homepage Company profile Nes Ltd. was established as a shipping company 1st May 1974, and started operations in July 1974 with the Company´s first vessel Svanur 1350 DWT. Today Nes has 3 vessels; Haukur 3000 DWT, and sister vessels Svanur and Lómur 2150 DWT all of which are tecnically operated from our Head Office in Hafnarfjordur. Up to the last 2/3 years export of fishmeal has played the most important part of our activities - together with import to Iceland of building material, timber, steel etc. but gradually export of ferrosilicon has taken over from fishmeal as the most important export cargo. All our vessels are flying the norwegian flag - under NIS register - Shipmanagement being our General Agent in Norway.
